Movember Update - World of Cow lends support

Bill Greenhead "Stik" (@Stiktoonz), creator of the World of Cow cartoons has drawn a cowtoon, especially for our Movember efforts. Mike Gee explains how the animator-cum-illustrator came to be involved.

"It was a few days ago," Mike relates, "having contacted Bill through Twitter, that I asked whether there was 'any chance of a #Movember Cowtoon to help raise awareness and funds for men's cancer?' I have to admit, I didn't hold out much hope."

Little did Mike know just what would happen next.

"I got a response back, initially, saying he would have a think", explains Mike. "I thought that would be the end of it and he would think about it and decide that he had other, bigger, paid for jobs which took priority", Mike continues. "I am aware that Bill is a big name in illustration, having illustrated children's books and created strips for major newspapers over the last 20 years and thought that a cheeky tweet would just be ignored. However, this morning, I received a Tweet from him saying he had created a Cowtoon specially for me. Not only that, but that he had also created a video of him drawing it! I was delighted."

Bill's World of Cow cartoons have been published to a global audience via Twitter as well as via his website www.stik.biz and to have Bill support our Movember moustache growing is an honour.

Mike goes on to say, "I then decided to use my cheek and ask Bill if I could get him to offer a signed copy of the Movember Cowtoon for us to use as a competition prize and he agreed. So, we are now going to be running a competition open to anyone who donates to us. It's just another sign of people's overwhelming generosity to this worthwhile cause."

At the end of Movember we will put all the names of those people who have donated to Mike or Joe personally, or to the EnableIT Technologies Team, into a hat and draw a winner out. The lucky person will receive the print of Bill's Movember Cowtoon, signed by the artist.
